MAN INVOLVED IN BUST-UP WITH ESTRANGED WIFE IS FINED IN COURT
A 72-YEAR-OLD man involved in a bust-up with his estranged wife has been fined £300 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Charles Owens, of Priory Hill, Coldstream, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at a house in Edinburgh Road, Peebles, on November 29.
Sheriff Peter Anderson described his behaviour as “bullying” and said someone of his age should know better.
A non-harassment order banning him from having any contact with his estranged wife, except to arrange child care, was imposed along with a £20 victim surcharge.
