Eddie Grant reached out to his ex-partner up to ten times daily, with some messages also containing threats toward her new partner.

Despite being under a non-molestation order that forbade him from using violence, threatening her, or communicating with her in any way, Grant continued his harassment.

The suspect, from Rugby, pleaded guilty to breaching the court order for the fifth time and was sentenced to 22 months in prison.

During the hearing, it was revealed that Grant and the victim had been in a relationship for 13 years, during which she described him as abusive and controlling.

Even after being given a suspended sentence and serving some time, Grant repeatedly violated the court order.

He received a jail sentence but was released shortly afterward, having already served time on remand.

Grant, who had previous convictions for common assault against his ex-partner and harassment of her mother, did not comment during his police interview.
