MAN HAS BEEN JAILED FOR MORE THAN TEN YEARS AFTER HE ADMITTED CARRYING OUT MULTIPLE CHILD SEX OFFENCES
In May 2024, officers from the Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team (OCSET) arrested 46-year-old Christopher Trezise and confiscated multiple electronic devices after investigations indicated that he was potentially sharing indecent images online.Further forensic examinations uncovered that Trezise participated actively in online networks and forums, frequently discussing topics related to abusing children and infants.
It was also found that he possessed over 1,000 illegal images on his devices and had engaged in sexually explicit communications with a minor, as well as trying to coordinate an encounter with another offender to sexually abuse a different child.
He faced numerous charges, including facilitating child sex offences and multiple counts of creating and distributing indecent images of children across various categories.
Additional charges included possession of extreme pornography and engaging in sexual communication with a minor.
Having admitted guilt during an earlier court hearing, Trezise was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison at Warwick Crown Court on 7 May.
The court also imposed an extended licence period of four years due to his classification as a dangerous offender.
Furthermore, he received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) valid for 15 years and was required to remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
