HUDDERSFIELD WOMAN RACIALLY ABUSED EX AND THREATENED VIOLENCE IN PUB
A woman with no previous convictions, Debbie Coyne, was found guilty of racially abusing her ex, Dallas Liburd, inside the Boy and Barrel pub in Huddersfield town centre on May 19.Coyne, who is 33 years old and lives in Almondbury, called Mr Liburd a "black b*****d" during the incident while she was intoxicated.
The court was told she approached him while he was out with friends and continued her abusive remarks after stepping outside for a cigarette.
Prosecutor Shamalia Qureshi stated that Coyne warned she would have someone beat him up, and she made multiple racist comments towards Mr Liburd.
She admitted to being racially abusive and threatening behaviour.
The incident occurred at 11:20 pm, and her solicitor explained her behavior was influenced by the fact that Mr Liburd previously damaged her car.
Coyne was described as generally responsible, with three children, and had no prior convictions.
The court fined her £85 and ordered her to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
The judge emphasized that such language in public is offensive, even if private conversations might be different.
