DEAN BURDEN FROM MANSFIELD SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE OFFENSES IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
In a significant case that has shocked the community of Mansfield and the wider Nottinghamshire area, Dean William Burden, aged 34, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 25 years after being convicted of multiple serious child abuse offences.The sentencing took place at Nottingham Crown Court, following a comprehensive 10-day trial during which the evidence against him was thoroughly examined and presented.
Burden's crimes spanned approximately 12 years, during which he engaged in a disturbing pattern of abuse against three young children.
The court found him guilty of a total of 24 sexual offences, which included a range of abusive acts that inflicted lasting harm on his victims.
In addition to the sexual offences, Burden was also convicted of five cruelty offences, further highlighting the severity and brutality of his actions.
The judge overseeing the case did not take the matter lightly.
In addition to the 25-year custodial sentence, Burden will be subject to a further five years on extended licence, meaning he will remain under supervision and restrictions for an extended period after his release from prison.

Furthermore, Burden was ordered to comply with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which imposes strict restrictions on his activities and interactions to prevent any further harm.
