DAVID LEVENSON CAUGHT SPYING ON WOMAN AT EDINBURGH'S CAMERON TOLL MCDONALD'S

A disturbing incident has come to light involving a pensioner from Edinburgh who was found guilty of secretly spying on a woman while she was using the restroom at a well-known fast-food outlet. The incident took place at the Cameron Toll Shopping Centre in Edinburgh last August, where the man, identified as David Levenson, was caught engaging in highly inappropriate and invasive behavior.

According to reports, Levenson was observed peering over the cubicle wall as the woman was urinating inside the toilet at the McDonald's restaurant. Witnesses described seeing a flash of white hair as Levenson attempted to conceal himself within the confines of the cubicle, suggesting he was trying to hide from view while watching the woman. The victim, who was accompanied by her children at the time, noticed Levenson’s head suddenly shoot down, indicating he was actively observing her in a private moment.

Following the incident, Levenson fled the scene, but authorities quickly identified him through CCTV footage captured at the location. Levenson, who resides in the Broughton area of Edinburgh, appeared before Edinburgh Sheriff Court to face charges. He pleaded guilty to the charges of concealing himself within the toilet and intentionally observing the woman without her consent.

It was revealed during the court proceedings that Levenson has a prior conviction for similar conduct, raising concerns about his pattern of behavior. The court was also informed that he had previously committed a comparable offense at the same McDonald's outlet in August 2023, for which he was sentenced to 12 months on the sex offenders register and ordered to complete 135 hours of unpaid community service.

Sheriff John Cook issued a stern warning to Levenson, emphasizing that he could face imprisonment and that his name would be added once again to the sex offenders register. The judge deferred sentencing until next month, allowing for further consideration of the case.
