NOTTINGHAM MAN CONVICTED FOR ARSON AND HARASSMENT AFTER WIFE’S AFFAIR
A man named David Honeybell, living in Nottingham, was sentenced at Nottingham Magistrates Court after he set fire to his wife’s clothing following the discovery of her infidelity.
The incident took place on June 4, and afterward, Honeybell also shared explicit photos of his wife on Facebook, which is considered revenge porn; however, he was not formally charged with that offence.
He faced charges of arson for the clothing fire and harassment for sending aggressive texts, phone calls, and voice messages.
Honeybell, who is 49 years old, admitted guilt to these charges and was ordered to complete a community order.
Additionally, he received a restraining order that will be in place for one year.
During the court hearing, he expressed remorse, saying, “It was just impulse, it was a thing, when you get angry you just do things off the cuff.” Outside the courtroom, Honeybell admitted that posting naked pictures of his wife was unnecessary, stating, “I can't now, obviously,” and described his actions as impulsive reactions fueled by anger.
