NOTTINGHAM MAN DUBBED 'THE INCREDIBLE HULK' JAILED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
A drunk Nottingham man, dubbed “The Incredible Hulk” by his victim, grabbed her hair and slammed her head on the bedroom walls during a violent episode at her city address.Nottingham Crown Court heard how Andrew Gray then refused to take the woman to hospital and told her not to tell anyone what happened, instead using Sellotape over the wounds he had caused.
A month later, the 43-year-old father-of-two then kicked the same woman in the ribs and punched her face after drinking vodka before fleeing the scene.
At the time of the attacks, he had not long been released from serving a full six-year prison term for a robbery which saw him threaten a woman with a machete in her own home while her young child watched.
Jailing Gray for two years and nine months, Judge Philip Head said: “It is clear that most, if not all of your violence on your record is due to your alcohol abuse.
It is a dreadful violence when she took a chance on you and gave you a roof over your head and took you in when you had been released from prison.
What you then did to her was a gross abuse of her hospitality and generosity.” He has two grown-up children of his own and a supportive family and friends around him.
What holds him back is his behaviour and only he can change that.
