IRVINE MAN WARNED AFTER THREATENING EX AT ORANGE LODGE
A man has been warned by a sheriff to consider his actions after he appeared to show little remorse for abusive behaviour towards his ex-partner at an Irvine Orange Lodge.David Allan Brown, of Hill Street, in Irvine, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week for sentencing.
The 51-year-old pled guilty to one charge in August but the sentence was deferred for social work reports.
On June 30 at the Orange Hall in Kirkgate, Brown behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards his ex-partner.
He shouted, swore, acted aggressively towards her and uttered threats of violence.
The solicitor Fraser Alexander expressed concerns over his client’s report.
Sheriff Michael Hanlon remarked that the report was not the best and emphasized the seriousness of the offence.
Brown was placed on a Restriction of Liberty Order requiring him to wear an electronic tag for 10 weeks and was advised to reflect on his behaviour.
