HUDDERSFIELD WOMAN SENTENCED FOR THREATENING HER EX WITH EXPLICIT VIDEO
A woman named Danielle Fisher faced legal action after she sent her former partner Gavin Brammah a sexually explicit video of two men engaged in oral sex and threatened to expose him as gay.
The incident occurred after their relationship broke down, and Fisher targeted Brammah to maximize effect, motivated by hostility based on his sexual orientation, according to the magistrates.
Fisher, aged 32 and daughter of former Huddersfield Town chairman Terry Fisher, pleaded guilty to harassment and persistently using electronic communications to cause annoyance or anxiety.
She was sentenced to a 12-month community order with up to 25 days of rehabilitation activities, and ordered to pay £200 towards prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
A two-year restraining order was also issued, banning her from contacting Brammah or posting about him online.
The magistrate described her actions as 'diabolical' and very serious.
Fisher expressed relief after the hearing, stating she believed she shouldn’t have been punished as she was devastated after discovering her partner had cheated on her.
She said, 'I don't really think this should have come to court.
I've come out with the punishment when really I've been punished receiving the video and finding out somebody I loved was cheating on me.'
