DOUBLE RAPIST WHO ATTACKED WOMAN IN HER 70S WITH DEMENTIA IN HER HOME, JAILED
A double rapist who attacked two women in Poole, including one victim with dementia, has been jailed for 20 years.A woman in her 70s was attacked by 29 year-old Daniel Hart after he entered her home on 15 May 2025.
It was reported that an unknown man had entered her property during the night and dragged her into the bedroom, where he raped her.
Later on the same day at about 2pm, a woman in her 40s was approached by Hart and then raped inside her flat.
Police were called to that address and Hart was arrested.
Detectives linked him to both attacks through DNA.
Hart pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on 3 November 2025 to 20 years in prison.
Detective Inspector Jon Sainsbury from Bournemouth CID stated that thanks to the swift response and thorough investigation by detectives, Hart was held accountable for his crimes and they continue to support victims of sexual offences.
