DANIEL COOK CAERNARFON SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR HORRIFIC ATTACK ON TEEN AFTER CANNABIS PARTY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Caernarfon, Daniel Lee Cook, a man with no fixed address but formerly residing in Caernarfon, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for a brutal sexual assault on a teenage girl. The incident occurred following a cannabis-fueled gathering at Cook's residence, where the victim was subjected to an unforgivable act of violence despite her clear protests and pleas for him to stop.

According to court records, the 22-year-old Cook was found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting the young girl after a night that was supposed to be a casual social gathering. The court heard that Cook had initially denied the charges, claiming that he had slept through the night and that the girl was lying about the assault. However, forensic evidence presented during the trial directly linked him to the victim, contradicting his initial denial.

During the proceedings at Caernarfon Crown Court, Judge Huw Rees condemned Cook’s actions as an “unforgivable piece of behaviour,” emphasizing that his conduct was fueled by drugs and driven by a desire to satisfy his lustful needs. The judge also imposed a lifelong restraining order, barring Cook from making any contact with the victim, and mandated that he register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The court was told that Cook had hosted the girl and two friends at his home, where they smoked several cannabis cigarettes. Prosecutor Mathew Curtis revealed that Cook had boasted about the strength and import of the drug, claiming it was brought in from America. As the night progressed, the girl fell asleep, but she later became aware of Cook behind her. Despite her protests and telling him to stop, Cook left the room but then returned and committed the assault a second time.

Following the attack, the girl left the house and contacted the police. Cook was arrested the following day. During police interviews, he initially denied any wrongdoing, claiming the girl was lying. Later, after forensic tests confirmed his involvement, Cook changed his story, alleging that the girl had attacked him while he was asleep.

This case has left the community of Caernarfon deeply disturbed, highlighting the dangers of drug-fueled violence and the importance of justice for victims of sexual assault.
