IRVINE MAN FINED FOR THREATENING AND INJURING EX WITH HAMMER
A MAN has been fined for behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards his ex and brandishing a hammer at her.
Dalvinder Singh Dhaliwal pleaded guilty to three charges following an incident in Macallan Place, Irvine in November.
On November 13, 2022, the 34-year-old shouted and swore at his former partner and pulled and struggled with her, causing his elbow to strike the woman on the head, resulting in an injury.
Dhaliwal also admitted possession of an offensive weapon after he brandished a hammer during the incident.
He further accepted a charge of wilfully or recklessly damaging property belonging to another by kicking a car, causing damage.
Dhaliwal pleaded guilty to all three charges and was sentenced at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on February 15.
He was fined £600 plus a £40 victim surcharge, and a 12-month non-harassment order was also imposed.
