SEX OFFENDER DALE BEER FAILS TO NOTIFY POLICE OF HIS ADDRESS
A sex offender faced magistrates and admitted failing to give police details of his home address for five months.
The court heard that Dale Beer, 42, claimed to be living at Gregory Boulevard in Hyson Green but was not there when a police officer called to check.
Prosecutor Ali Zaki said Beer was convicted of an offence in December 2007 and was under orders to register his address.
Under the requirements, he must always register and inform of any moves.
On December 5, an officer visited Gregory Boulevard and was told 'he is not here.' The officer checked police records and confirmed Beer had not attended a police station.
Beer had provided this address on November 23.
He told the court he is homeless.
In court, Laura Coffey represented him, did not apply for bail, and agreed that sentencing would be at Nottingham Crown Court, where he is due to appear on May 29.
He pleaded guilty to failing to notify under the Sexual Offences Act between December 3 and May 26, theft of a purse on Derby Road on January 8, fraudulently using a credit card three times, and possessing cannabis and amphetamine.
