WALES' NOTORIOUS DOMESTIC ABUSER CRAIG THOMAS JAILED AGAIN AFTER ATTACKING GIRLFRIEND
A well-known figure in Wales with a history of domestic violence is once again detained by the authorities.Craig Paul Thomas, aged 42, was sentenced following a recent assault, just a few months after completing a ten-year prison term for a severe case of violence directed at his former partner, Charlotte Rooks.
In 2013, Thomas was jailed after he inflicted a brutal attack involving hammers on Rooks at his Cardiff flat, stabbing her in the back, and imprisoning her.
He also assaulted a pregnant woman by striking her stomach and threatening to harm her unborn child.
The judge at that time described the incident as one of the most severe domestic violence cases he had encountered.
After his release in June, Thomas entered a controlling relationship with a woman he met in 2018.
This relationship involved threats, coercive tactics, and physical assaults.
He was convicted of causing actual bodily harm and coercive control after attacking her during the months of July to September 2023 in Nant-y-moel, Bridgend, which resulted in a nine-month prison sentence.
His latest offense involved an attack on his current girlfriend, during which he threw a bottle at her face in a car in Swansea, causing visible swelling, bruising, and several threats.
Thomas’s criminal record includes multiple convictions and bans, such as a prohibition from returning to Cardiff following his previous conviction.
His recent sentences include six months for coercive behaviour and three months for assault causing minor injuries, along with additional costs mandated by the court.
This case underscores his extensive history of domestic abuse, repeated imprisonments, and ongoing violent tendencies.
