FIFE THUG JAILED AFTER STALKING, KIDNAPPING, AND ATTACKING WOMAN IN FIFE
A THUG has been jailed after stalking, kidnapping, and attacking a woman in in Fife.Callous Craig MacKay from Methil subjected his victim to ‘prolonged periods of physical and emotional abuse’.
The Fife’s Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit launched a major investigation against the evil Methil man after his victim bravely came forward.
After extensive enquiries the monster was subsequently arrested and charged in June 2017.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, MacKay was jailed for 36 months for two offences that took place between August 2016 and June 2017 in Fife.
The 31-year-old was convicted in August after admitting the abuse.
Detective Inspector Hannah Morrison, from Fife’s DAIU, said: “MacKay subjected the victim to prolonged periods of physical and emotional abuse.
“He has demonstrated himself to be a callous and violent individual with no remorse for his crimes.“I would like to commend the outstanding bravery of the victim in reporting these crimes, which has been vital in securing a conviction.
“MacKay will now serve a custodial sentence, where he will not be a risk to other woman.
“Tackling domestic abuse in all its forms remains one of Police Scotland’s top priorities and, whenever these offences are brought to our attention, we will conduct a thorough investigation to bring perpetrators to justice.”
