MAN SENTENCED FOLLOWING RAPE IN FIFE

A 26-year-old man received a seven-year prison sentence following his conviction for raping a woman in Limekilns, Fife.

Joel Macphee was also ordered to register as a sex offender and was issued a 99-year non-harassment order during his appearance at the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday, 24 March, 2026.

The court found him guilty last month, with the assault taking place in September 2024.

Detective Constable Douglas Potter commented: "Macphee is a sexual predator who must face the repercussions of his heinous conduct.

Police Scotland emphasizes its dedication to thoroughly investigating all sexual offenses.

Specialist officers are available to support victims, and collaborations with partner agencies are in place to ensure those responsible are held accountable."
