Shopkeeper Kamran Saeed is now in prison awaiting sentence as his status within the UK hangs in the balance.
After being released from HMP Barlinnie in May 2024, Saeed spent seven weeks at Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre, in the shadow of Heathrow Airport.
He was previously jailed for nearly a year in total after he was convicted of sexual assault and assaulting a child.
Then, in 2022, he was convicted of two charges of breaching a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO), including by communicating on Snapchat with a 14-year-old girl, who sent him an indecent image.
Saeed was caught breaching his SOPO by concealing a phone and SIM, accessing the internet without monitoring officers' knowledge.
Despite this, he continues to fight his deportation to Pakistan.
