CONRAD PRITCHARD FROM SALFORD JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON YOUNG GIRL AT HOUSE PARTY
In January 2018, a disturbing incident unfolded in Salford involving a young girl who was subjected to a sexual assault while she was asleep.The perpetrator, Conrad Asa Pritchard, a 22-year-old man from Salford, was later convicted and sentenced to prison for his actions.
According to police reports, Pritchard had sneaked into a house during an early hours gathering and carried out the assault on the sleeping girl.
The situation took a bizarre turn when Pritchard, who was found lying naked from the waist up next to the young girl, was discovered by her mother.
The mother had been alerted by her daughter's cries and, upon entering the room, found Pritchard pretending to be asleep.
The mother was horrified to see her daughter in distress and to find the man in such a compromising position.
Following the discovery, Pritchard quickly fled the scene.
He was later found hiding under a bed in another room of the house, where he was chased out by the occupants.
The police responded promptly to a report of a disturbance at the property early on June 26 of the previous year, which led to his arrest.
During police questioning, Pritchard initially claimed that he was so intoxicated that he was unaware anyone was in the bed.
He then attempted to justify his actions by asserting that he believed the young girl was actually the 18-year-old babysitter present at the party.
However, this explanation was dismissed by the court as 'inconceivable.' Pritchard, who resides on Isaac Close, was brought before Manchester Crown Court, where he was convicted of sexual assault of a child under 13.
He pleaded guilty to the charges during an earlier hearing at Manchester magistrates' court, where he appeared distressed and hung his head.
In addition to his 32-month prison sentence, Pritchard was ordered to serve an extra eight weeks for breaching a suspended sentence previously imposed for shoplifting at Boots in Eccles.
His case highlights the serious nature of his offenses and the judicial system's response to protect vulnerable victims from such predatory behavior.
