FRASERBURGH MAN ADMITS TO DISTURBING CHILD’S IMAGE IN PORN VIDEO
A man from Fraserburgh, Clint Cassie, has pleaded guilty to creating a disturbing video by editing a gay pornographic clip to feature the face of a nine-year-old girl.Cassie appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court, appearing confused about his plea but after consulting with his defense lawyer, he admitted to making the video and sharing it with his former partner.
The 31-year-old is expected to be placed on the sex offender register while background reports are prepared ahead of sentencing scheduled for the following month.
According to prosecutor Karen Poke, Cassie was caught showing a gay pornography video to his girlfriend on December 12, 2023, which then featured an edited clip where the head of a nine-year-old girl, the daughter of a friend, had been inserted into the scene.
The victim's mother was alerted and contacted the police, leading to Cassie’s arrest.
Cassie’s lawyer stated that the editing was initially done as a joke at someone’s request and that his client fully admitted to the police.
Sheriff Annella Cowan granted bail for Cassie to await further reports.
His case is set for a review in August.
