DANGEROUS MAN’ JAILED AFTER SERIES OF SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST CHILDREN
A man described as a “dangerous” paedophile who carried out a number of “wicked, predatory, and relentless” sexual offences involving children has been sentenced to 24 years in prison.
Christopher Murray, aged 63, appeared before Cardiff Crown Court on July 19, where he admitted to 32 charges, including indecent assault, indecency with a child, assault by penetration, and rape.
Murray, whose address was listed as Heol Llansantffraid, Sarn, Bridgend, confessed to committing crimes against four minors during the 1990s.
His custodial sentence comprises 18 years in prison with an additional six-year extended licence period.
Previously residing in Risca and Caldicot, Murray was also subject to a lifelong sexual harm prevention order aimed at restricting his contact with children.
Furthermore, he will remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
