BRUCE PHILLIPS OF OXFORD CAUGHT WITH EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY AND CHILD IMAGES

In February 2018, Bruce Lovat Phillips, aged 73 and residing on Third Acre Rise in Oxford, faced serious allegations related to the possession of highly disturbing and illegal material.

It was revealed that Phillips had been in possession of a total of 15 extreme pornographic images that depicted sexual acts involving animals, a crime that is both morally reprehensible and legally punishable.

Furthermore, the investigation uncovered that Phillips possessed images involving minors.

Specifically, he had made one indecent image classified as Category B, which involved a child in a sexual context.

In addition, he possessed seven indecent images classified as Category C, also involving minors.

These illicit images were all acquired and stored over a period spanning from November 29, 2014, to December 8, 2016.

The authorities, upon discovering these materials, took decisive action.

Thames Valley Police confiscated and subsequently destroyed the illegal images as part of their standard procedure in handling such cases.

Phillips was subjected to a court-mandated 30-day sexual offending programme, aimed at addressing his behavior and preventing future offenses.

In addition to the rehabilitation program, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs amounting to £200.

These charges and penalties reflect the serious nature of the offenses committed by Phillips, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and exploitative material involving minors and animals.
