FIFE MAN BANNED FROM OWNING DOGS AFTER DOG BITES BOY
A resident of Fife has been prohibited from owning dogs following an incident involving his Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, which injured a 10-year-old boy.Benjamin Fielder, aged 24 and residing on Kincairne Street in Kincardine, pleaded guilty to neglecting control of his dog during the event that took place at a residence in Kincardine on April 17 of the previous year.
According to court records, the dog jumped on and toppled the young boy before biting him elsewhere on his body.
The Dunfermline Sheriff Court was informed that the dog involved in the incident had already been euthanized.
Sheriff Craig McSherry sentenced Fielder to a two-year ban on dog ownership and ordered him to pay £150 in compensation.
