BAHER ELABADY CASTLEFORD SEXUAL ASSAULTS SHOCKING JAIL SENTENCE
In January 2021, a disturbing case emerged involving Baher Elabady, a man from Castleford, who was convicted of multiple sexual offenses that have sent shockwaves through the local community.The incidents began at a workplace in West Yorkshire, where Elabady was employed as a first aid officer.
The first assault occurred when a female employee sustained an injury while operating machinery.
Tasked with providing medical assistance, Elabady accompanied her to the first aid room.
During this process, he inappropriately touched her, first by grabbing her hips to guide her and then by placing his hands under her bra strap, moving beneath her clothing to touch her breasts.
The victim, who was injured and unable to resist fully due to her back injury, attempted to move away, but Elabady persisted.
He sat her down and then positioned himself behind her, straddling her in a manner that was clearly inappropriate.
When he sensed someone approaching, he quickly withdrew his hands.
The woman, overwhelmed and distressed, broke down in tears and confided in her manager about the assault.
The incident left her deeply frightened and had a lasting impact on her emotional well-being.
Following this, Elabady was arrested and released on bail.
However, he did not cease his misconduct.
Subsequently, he was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl, which led to his re-arrest and detention on remand.
The case was brought before Leeds Crown Court, where Elabady appeared via video link from custody.
He admitted to both charges, acknowledging his guilt in the court proceedings.
Judge Robin Mairs sentenced Elabady to six years and one month in prison.
In addition to the custodial sentence, the judge imposed a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) to monitor and restrict his future behavior.
These orders are set to remain in effect until further notice, reflecting the seriousness of his offenses and the need for ongoing oversight to protect potential victims.
