ARWEL EVANS FROM KINMEL BAY SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON SIX-YEAR-OLD GIRL

In a recent court ruling, Arwel Lloyd Evans, a 61-year-old man from Kinmel Bay, has been sentenced to serve seven years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a young girl aged just six years old.

The court also mandated that Evans must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, reflecting the severity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.

During the proceedings, Evans admitted to multiple charges, including acts of sexual touching that involved penetration.

The court was informed that Evans has a prior criminal history related to child abuse, which further underscored the danger he represents.

His previous convictions and current offenses led the judge to classify him as a significant threat to children and public safety.

In addition to the prison sentence and lifelong registration requirement, the court imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

This order is designed to restrict Evans from being alone with children, thereby aiming to prevent any potential future harm and protect vulnerable members of the community.
