ANTHONY FROST FROM HOLBROOK AND NORTHAMPTON JAILED FOR RAPE OF CHILDREN IN DERBYSHIRE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Holbrook and Northampton, Anthony Frost has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of heinous sexual offenses committed against two young girls during the 1980s.Frost, who previously served a decade behind bars for manslaughter and arson, now faces the consequences of his latest crimes, which have left lasting scars on his victims.
According to court proceedings at Derby Crown Court, Frost, now aged 57, forcibly assaulted a teenage girl in Holbrook during the late 1980s.
The court heard that he used physical force by wrapping his hands around her neck, pulling down her trousers and underwear, and raping her.
The victim, who was a teenager at the time, has since been haunted by the trauma, revealing that she still wakes up crying nearly 30 years after the assault.
Her testimony highlighted the enduring psychological impact of Frost’s actions.
In addition to this, Frost was also convicted of sexually abusing another young girl, who was under the age of 10 at the time of the attack.
The court described her as a “likeable and innocent little girl,” who was subjected to Frost’s disturbing sexual misconduct.
These assaults took place in Holbrook during the late 1980s and early 1990s, predating Frost’s 2004 conviction for manslaughter and arson.
At that time, Frost was residing on Park Road in Belper, where he committed the arson that resulted in the death of Sarah Jane Dudley, a 33-year-old mother of two.
Frost had set fire to his former partner’s house by pushing a burning bag through her letterbox after misdialing a number and overhearing a man’s voice, mistakenly believing she had a new lover.
The fire trapped Sarah Jane Dudley in a bedroom, and she tragically died from smoke inhalation amid her screams for help.
The case was brought to light when both victims decided to come forward to police in 2015, after discovering they had been victims of Frost’s sexual abuse.
Prosecutor Stephen Kemp explained that the victims’ courage in speaking out led to Frost’s arrest and subsequent conviction.
Frost, who is currently residing on Elizabeth Walk in Northampton, pleaded guilty to one count of raping a child and another of sexually abusing a child during the court proceedings.
During sentencing, Judge Robert Egbuna addressed the severity of Frost’s crimes, particularly emphasizing the impact on the younger victim.
He stated, “This was a dreadful thing to do to a young girl, she was a child and you chose to gratify yourself with her.” The judge also acknowledged the ongoing trauma experienced by the other victim, noting that she continues to suffer from nightmares and distress related to her assault.
The court’s decision reflects the gravity of Frost’s actions and the lasting harm inflicted upon his victims, bringing a measure of justice after decades of silence and suffering.
