OXFORD LAWYER JAILED FOR MALICIOUS RAPE AND KIDNAP PLOT
An Oxford lawyer who fabricated serious allegations including rape and kidnapping as part of an "evil" campaign of harassment against her former lover has been released from prison.
Anisah Ahmed, aged 37, was given a life sentence and ordered to serve at least four and a half years for her actions, which the judge branded as “malicious, even evil.” Her obsession with her victim, Iqbal Mohammed, after their affair ended, led her to create email accounts in his name to bombard herself with messages, aiming to get him arrested.
When her actions were exposed, she falsely accused Mr Mohammed of rape and claimed he attempted to kidnap her.
During her sentencing in spring, Judge Gledhill remarked, “The lengths you went to, to exact revenge on Mr Mohammed were almost beyond belief.” Although she was the first person to receive a life for perverting the course of justice in April 2021, her sentence was later reduced to 10 years, and she has now been released, leaving her victim worried.
Mr Mohammed expressed his shock, stating, “I can't believe nobody bothered to bloody tell me this before.
It's unbelievable.
I've been completely left in the dark.” The court heard that Ahmed and Mr Mohammed, who remains with his wife, had a nine-month relationship in 2014, but after discovering he was married, she initiated a revenge online campaign involving staged kidnapping and stabbing, even involving an ex-boyfriend.
Her ex, upon being questioned, said he was ordered to knife her three times but refused, leading Ahmed to supposedly stab herself and sustain a thigh injury that nearly severed her femoral artery.
Her court case and subsequent release highlight a disturbing pattern of malicious and violent behavior.
