HUDDERSFIELD WOMAN ACCUSED OF DRUNKEN ASSAULT ON PARTNER OUTSIDE TAKEAWAY
A woman named Angela Anderson was involved in an incident where she allegedly assaulted her partner outside a takeaway on Cross Church Street in Huddersfield late on February 2.According to court reports, Anderson, aged 38, appeared at Kirklees Magistrates' Court and pleaded not guilty to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Prosecutor Natalie Chapman stated that the couple had been drinking when Anderson pushed her partner against the window of a takeaway.
She then reportedly grabbed him by the throat and hit him repeatedly in the head, which caused him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.
Anderson, of New Street in Kirkheaton, admitted to police that she had been drinking all night and consumed about six pints.
Her trial is scheduled for May 1 at Huddersfield court, and until then, she is on bail with conditions not to contact her partner or go within 100 meters of his Bradley Road address.
