ANDREW FILLIMORE FROM LEICESTER ARRESTED OVER CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A man with a criminal history was taken into custody after raising concerns with Leicestershire Police about online accusations labeling him a paedophile.
The investigation that followed uncovered disturbing evidence indicating that Andrew Fillimore had been actively sending explicit messages and pornography to a 14-year-old girl, revealing a troubling pattern of predatory behavior.
Fillimore, aged 45, initially claimed that his online activities were innocent, asserting that he was merely searching for a babysitter.
However, the police investigation quickly dispelled this excuse, revealing that his communications with the minor were of a sexual nature.
On the Monday following his arrest, Fillimore appeared before Leicester Magistrates' Court, where he pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
