MUSSELBURGH MAN SENTENCED FOR DOWNLOADING CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
A MUSSELBURGH man has appeared in court after he was caught in possession of indecent images of children.Alexander Craighead, 21, has been placed on the sex offenders' register after he was found to have downloaded images of children being sexually abused.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing and making indecent images of children at his home on Moir Avenue when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year.
Craighead returned to the dock for sentencing last week, where he was placed on a community payback order and told he must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
Craighead was also placed under the supervision of the local social work team and had his name added to the sex offenders' register for the next 18 months.
