AUCHINLECK MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO THREATS OF PETROL BOMB AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR
AN AUCHINLECK man who allegedly threatened to petrol bomb his ex-partner's house and made abusive comments has been granted bail.Alasdair Maciver pleaded not guilty when he faced two charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and causing fear and alarm when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court.
The 29-year-old is alleged to have sent messages to a male and female named on the complaint, repeatedly shouting, swearing and making threats of violence to them.
Court papers state this was on various occasions on March 19 this year.
He faces a second charge of threatening behaviour after allegedly leaving voice notes over social media with a woman on various occasions on July 3, 2025, in Muirkirk.
It’s alleged that he made threats to ‘petrol bomb the house occupied by your former partner’ and make other threats to harm her.
The charge was aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
Bail was granted for Maciver, of Hillside Crescent, Auchinleck, when he appeared on a police undertaking at Ayr Sheriff Court, represented by defence solicitor Tony Currie.
The Procurator Fiscal depute insisted on special conditions not to contact any of the three complainers or attend the address in Muirkirk.
