ALAN ELLINSON'S SHOCKING CHILD ABUSE IN STOCKPORT AND POYNTON CLIMBING SCANDAL
Alan Ellinson, a climbing instructor originally from Poynton, Cheshire, has been found guilty and sentenced for a series of disturbing sexual offenses committed against children during his time as the owner and operator of a family-run climbing instruction business based in Stockport.According to police reports, the 68-year-old man engaged in a pattern of harmful and predatory behaviors that included exposing himself to young children and coercing them into inappropriate acts.
One particularly troubling incident involved instructing children to reach into his trousers to retrieve sweets, a tactic that exploited their innocence and trust.
The crimes involved four children, all between the ages of 10 and 14, and these offenses took place over a span of two years, from 2013 to 2015.
Despite his denial of the charges, which included indecent exposure and inciting sexual activities with minors, the court found sufficient evidence to convict him.
His trial was held at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, where the judge sentenced Ellinson to five years in prison.
In addition to his incarceration, the court imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will remain in effect for ten years, aiming to restrict his contact with children and prevent further harm.
Furthermore, Ellinson was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
The case came to public attention after a mother of one of the victims reported the abuse to the NSPCC, which subsequently alerted the police.
This report led to Ellinson’s arrest in 2021.

He described his young students as 'vindictive and feral,' revealing a disturbing attitude towards his victims and the gravity of his misconduct.
