MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING VULNERABLE TEENAGER IN SALFORD
A man known as a “sexual predator” by a judge has received a sentence of seven and a half years in prison for abusing a vulnerable teenage girl.Aberham Fekuad, 24 years old from Gerald Road in Salford, was convicted after an investigation of engaging in sexual activities with a girl under the age of 15.
In February 2020, Fekuad approached the girl and her friend in Piccadilly Gardens, convincing them to go to his flat in Salford with the promise of money.
Once at the flat, aware of her young age, he forced the girl into sexual acts.
After the incident, he gave her £100, and the girls left.
The victim reported the assault to her family and police a few days later.
An investigation, which included DNA evidence, led to Fekuad's conviction by a jury at Manchester Crown Court on November 8, 2021.
The judge described him as a “sexual predator” and sentenced him to prison.
He is also subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
Detective Constable Tom Morris of GMP’s Serious Crime Division condemned Fekuad’s conduct, stating: “Fekuad’s actions were extremely heinous.
His intent was solely for his own perverted satisfaction, disregarding the devastating effect it could have on his young victim.” Morris encouraged victims or anyone aware of sexual abuse to come forward and seek assistance, highlighting that police agencies are prepared to support victims and handle reports with sensitivity.
