Tidworth man has been jailed for 16 months for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Salisbury Crown Court heard yesterday that Aaron James Bishop, of no fixed address, had consensual sex with the girl five or six times before her parents intervened.
Roderick Blain, defending, said Bishop had checked the girl consented but had told her not to tell anyone about what had happened because he was worried about the age difference.
Judge John Dixon said Bishop went out of his way to achieve a sexual relationship with his victim even though he knew she was under age.
