SERIAL OFFENDER ZAK LIVSEY JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS AND EXPOSURE
Zak Livsey, aged 26, has been convicted of repeated sexual offences including exposing himself and sexually assaulting a teenage girl.The court heard that Livsey initially targeted a woman while she was watching TV, during which he exposed his penis and began to masturbate.
Prosecutor Michael Morley stated that Livsey had his phone in hand during the incident, then put it away and asked if the woman wanted a cup of tea.
The victim informed a friend and later her mother about the incident.
Over a year later, Livsey targeted a second victim, a 14-year-old girl, whom he sexually assaulted and then exposed himself to while masturbating.
The girl described feeling unable to be around men, experiencing panic attacks, PTSD, nightmares, and feelings of anxiety and depression.
She also mentioned that she has self-harmed and lost friendships due to the trauma.
Livsey admitted to two counts of exposure and one of sexual assault during a section 28 cross-examination before any of the victims had given evidence.
His barrister described Livsey as being on the verge of tears and suffering from childhood difficulties impacting his behavior.
The court sentenced Livsey to 23 months in prison and imposed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
