PAEDOPHILE RAPES STOKE-ON-TRENT GIRL ON MATTRESS IN BACK OF CONVERTED CAR
Paedophile William Preece raped a schoolgirl on a mattress in the back of his specially-converted car.The 36-year-old ripped out the seats from the back of his motor to replace them with the mattress.
The predator had met the 12-year-old Stoke-on-Trent schoolgirl in a chatroom, used Starbucks as a meeting place, and went on to rape her on at least 20 occasions.
Now Preece is awaiting sentence at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Prosecutor Howard Searle said: “On her 12th birthday he gave her £100 which is a sizable sum for a girl of that age.
He would describe giving her money as a wage which she believed was a form of prostitution and he would give her sex toys.
They would meet up after the girl would sneak out of her house whilst her mother was asleep.
Messages show frequent communications between them.” Preece, who lives in Huddersfield, admitted a catalogue of serious sexual offences, including rape.
Shannon Woodley, mitigating, said: “It is right that communications began on a chatroom, both parties were aware of her age.
The defendant now shows deep shame and remorse for the impact it has had on her.
He recognises what he’s done and admits he’s previously failed to accept his sexual interest in children.
He has made a genuine effort to address his offending behaviour.” ————————————————————————————— UPDATE 01-12-2025 William Preece, 36, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has been sentenced to 17 years behind bars today (Monday 1 December) after he pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a girl and one count of sexual assault of a girl at an earlier hearing.
