MAN SHARED VIDEO OF WOMAN IN INTIMATE SITUATION

A resident of Dunbar has been ordered to compensate a woman after admitting to sharing an explicit video with a friend.

Wayne Scott, aged 35, posted the private footage on social media platforms without the woman’s permission last year.

During a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, it was revealed that the intent behind the offense was to induce fear, distress, or alarm in the woman.

Scott, who resides on Church Street in Dunbar, pleaded guilty to the charge at the court last Tuesday.

Sheriff Adrian Fraser sentenced him to pay £1,000 in damages and imposed a fine of £420.

Additionally, the court was assured that Scott had removed any other intimate recordings of the woman that he possessed.
