BORDERS MAN ACCUSED OF ATTEMPTED MURDER OF TWO WOMEN
A man from the Scottish Borders is facing a string of serious allegations, including claims he tried to kill two women in a disturbing case now heading to the High Court.Vance Hogarth, 32, of Sprouston Cottages, Newtown St Boswells, stands accused of a total of 13 charges in connection with alleged offences spanning several years.
Among the most serious accusations are two counts of attempted murder, alongside four charges of assault said to have put lives in danger.
Prosecutors also allege incidents involving severe injury, permanent impairment, domestic abuse, stalking, and involvement in the supply of cocaine.
It is claimed the offences took place in the Galashiels area between 2017 and 2024, raising concerns over the scale and duration of the alleged behaviour.
Hogarth is due to appear at a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on May 14, where the case will move forward.
