MAN WHO HARASSED AND ASSAULTED EX-PARTNER IN ST ALBANS HANDED FIVE-YEAR RESTRAINING ORDER
Vincent Flemons, a 49-year-old man from Clarendon Road, Luton, has been issued a five-year restraining order by St Albans Crown Court after incidents of domestic abuse against his partner. This order was handed down on April 11, after Flemons had already spent six months in jail.
He admitted to harassing his partner through electronic messages and phone calls at his work location in St Albans, alongside committing several physical assaults.
His release earlier was due to completion of his sentence while on remand.
The court’s order prevents Flemons from contacting his victim for a duration of five years, and he is also barred from entering her residence or workplace.
Detective Constable Alex Willans from the Domestic Abuse Investigation and Safeguarding Unit stated that any violation of this order would lead to a return to prison.
Although initially charged with strangulation, Flemons pleaded guilty in February 2023 to multiple offences, which included common assault in June 2022, harassment in August 2022, and also assault causing injury and criminal damage in the same month.
