KINROSS WOMAN CONVICTED OF ASSAULT AND VIOLENCE AGAINST PARTNER AND POLICE
Vasilica Despa, a 45-year-old woman from Kinross, was found guilty of assault and violent behavior on her partner and police officers.
She attempted to seduce her then-partner, Nicol Love, with a nearly nude dance but reacted violently when rejected, which led her to spend Valentine’s Day in custody.
During the incident, she attacked Mr Love, punched his head, and kicked him.
She also assaulted Police Constable Douglas Stapleton by trying to punch him, kicking him repeatedly, and spitting in his face.
The court hearing detailed how Mr Love was so terrified of Despa that he called 999 and was advised to barricade himself in a room.
Despa was eventually restrained by police and spent the night in custody before being brought before Perth Sheriff Court.
The court sentenced her to a community payback order, which includes 160 hours of unpaid work, and social work supervision for a year.
