VIOLENT HUSBAND ARRESTED ON CHRISTMAS EVE AFTER WIFE PASSED SECRET NOTE TO PERTH GARAGE STAFF
Michael Williamson admitted to physically assaulting his partner after a neighbor overheard her "screaming in pain" on December 23 of the previous year.He also pleaded guilty to making threats or engaging in abusive behavior towards his wife.
The 32-year-old had been in custody since his arrest and appeared before Perth Sheriff Court.
During the incident, the woman secretly gave a note to garage staff, asking for help, while Williamson was outside refueling their vehicle.
He was taken into custody on Christmas Eve following police attendance at the couple’s residence in Stanley, Perthshire.
Evidence indicated a struggle had taken place, with belongings scattered across the floor, and photographs showed bruises and cuts on the woman’s arms and legs.
Williamson's criminal record includes five previous domestic-related offenses and five assaults.
Sheriff William Wood ordered him to remain in custody until his sentencing scheduled for later in the week.
