CAERPHILLY PAEDOPHILE ADMITS SEXUALLY ASSAULTING YOUNG GIRL
A PAEDOPHILE has pleaded guilty to a raft of sexual offences committed against children – including the assault of a young girl.
Tristan Smith, 20, from Caerphilly was convicted of eight offences involving children, Newport Magistrates' Court was told.
He admitted assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, causing/ inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, making more than 600 indecent photographs of children at category A, category B and category C and possession of 1,061 prohibited images of children.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to possession of extreme pornographic images involving bestiality.
Smith’s offending took place between January 2022 and January 2023.
His case was committed to the crown court where he is due to be sentenced on December 18.
The defendant, formerly of Longfellow Gardens, Graig-Y-Rhacca was granted conditional bail.
