CAERPHILLY PUB BOSS HAD CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND ANIMAL PORN
A pub manager who was found in possession of child exploitation images and material involving animals has been sentenced to prison.Ross Cooper, aged 44 and formerly residing in Gwaun Newydd, Lansbury Park, Caerphilly, pleaded guilty to possessing 280 indecent photographs of children, categorized as 31 at level A, 19 at level B, and 230 at level C.
He also admitted to possessing 68 highly explicit images depicting sexual acts with animals, as well as four illegal images featuring minors.
His illegal activities occurred on May 18, 2023.
In March 2025, Cooper was sentenced to a three-year community order, which included 150 hours of unpaid work and a 30-day program for rehabilitation.
However, at Cardiff Crown Court, he also admitted to breaching this order a second time.
To date, he has completed only 17 hours of unpaid work and seven days of the rehabilitation program.
Represented by Charles Archer, his lawyer stated that Cooper had relocated from Caerphilly to Rhymney after his conviction became known in his previous community.
The attorney also noted that Cooper is a carer for his partner.
Ultimately, Judge Lucy Crowther sentenced Cooper to six months in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender for seven years, revoking his community order.
