A man from Inverness who was stalking a woman has had his sentencing postponed once again.Tommee Mackenzie, aged 47, visited the woman's home, leaving her flowers and a box of chocolates.
During the hearing at Inverness Sheriff Court, it was revealed that Mackenzie claimed he was “losing sleep” and left a handwritten note for the woman expressing a desire to “cuddle her” and asking her not to contact the police.
He pleaded guilty to a pattern of behavior that caused the woman to feel fear or distress between May 21 and June 27 of the previous year.
Sheriff Macdonald postponed the sentencing until January 7, 2027, and also continued the review of a non-harassment order.
Mackenzie’s lawyer noted that there have been no further incidents and that his mental health is improving thanks to ongoing support.
