INVERNESS MAN JAILED FOR EXTREME PORNOGRAPHIC IMAGERY AND CHILD ABUSE
A man who was discovered with a "very large quantity" of indecent material has been sentenced to prison.Ross Morel (32) pleaded guilty to possessing explicit and realistic images depicting adult necrophilia, sexual assault, and bestiality on February 25 of last year.
Additionally, he admitted to taking or allowing the creation of indecent photographs of children between November 26, 2024, and February 25 last year.
Morel, residing on Union Road in Inverness, also confessed to possessing indecent or pseudo-photographs of minors.
Sheriff Gary Aitken described the case as troubling due to the volume and nature of the content.
Morel was sentenced to 27 months in prison, will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years, and will be subject to the Sexual Harm Notification Order.
The sheriff emphasized: "Every single child brutalized for your sexual gratification deserves protection.
It is unusual to find someone so open in social work that they obtain satisfaction from it.
We have a duty to punish offenders and safeguard children." His defense attorney, Graham Mann, recognized the serious nature of the charges.
