IRVINE MMA FIGHTER JAILED FOR BRUTAL ARM-BREAKING ATTACK ON TEEN
AN IRVINE teenager was left permanently injured after a MMA fighting thug named Terry Fleck, 39, bent his arm back until it broke in a horror assault at the beginning of lockdown.Fleck was found guilty of the brutal attack on the then 17-year-old son of his ex-partner in his home at Dalrymple Drive, Irvine after a trial this month.
Fleck assaulted the young man by repeatedly pushing him on the body before throwing him to the ground on April 24 last year.
He then bent the teenager’s left arm causing it to break, leading to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, and impairment.
A source close to the family said the boy went to visit his mother’s ex-partner Fleck before then suffering the unprovoked attack at the start of lockdown last year.
The source described Fleck as a mixed martial arts fighter and an aggressive individual.
During the assault, Fleck started on him, pushed him about, and accused him of giving cheek.
He then put the teenager in an arm lock, flipped him over, and as he landed on his back, twisted his arms.
Fleck then pulled the broken arm and heard it snap, after which he ran out of the house.
The teenager was in agony and had to go to A&E.
Fleck was found guilty when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on October 14, with sentencing deferred until later this year for social work reports.
Bail was continued, and Fleck will return to court later this year.
The article notes that lockdown contributed to the incident, as gyms and martial arts clubs were closed, affecting Fleck's training and potentially his behavior.
