TEEN SEX OFFENDER WITH OVER 700 INDECENT IMAGES AWAITS SENTENCING IN ARDROSSAN
A teenage sex offender named T-Jay McKnight is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possessing over 700 indecent images and videos of children.The offender was arrested when police searched his home in Irvine, where he had been living with his family.
The investigation uncovered a large collection of illicit content, with a total of 457 images classified into categories A, B, and C, involving sexual acts ranging from penetrative to non-penetrative and erotic posing.
Additionally, 245 videos were found, most of which were Category A, depicting serious sexual material involving children.McKnight, aged 18 and now residing in Barrie Terrace, Ardrossan, admitted to possession of the content between April 27, 2023, and March 4, 2024, when police executed a warrant at his address.
Multiple devices, including two 'tower end' computer system parts, were seized and analyzed, confirming the presence of the indecent material.
Family members confirmed that the devices belonged to him.
The court was informed that police found the images and videos on these devices, with the content involving both images and videos depicting inappropriate sexual acts.The prosecution emphasized the severity of the content, with specific details being mentioned in court but withheld due to their disturbing nature.
The defense attorney stated that background reports would be needed before sentencing could take place.
The sheriff deferred the sentencing until later in the year but granted McKnight bail.
The teen was also ordered to be registered on the sex offenders register.
