STUART BAKER EX-TEACHING ASSISTANT FROM CORBY ADMITS TO CHILD SEX OFFENCES AND INDECENT IMAGES

In April 2017, a former teaching assistant at Corby Business Academy faced serious criminal charges related to child exploitation. Stuart Baker, aged 40, appeared before Wellingborough Magistrates’ Court to enter a plea concerning multiple allegations of child grooming and the possession and distribution of indecent images of minors.

During the court proceedings, Baker admitted to ten counts of inciting children to engage in sexual activities. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to five charges associated with the creation, possession, and dissemination of indecent images of children. The court proceedings revealed the gravity of the allegations against him, which have sparked concern within the local community of Corby.

Following his plea, Baker is scheduled to be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on Friday, May 26. As part of his bail conditions, he is prohibited from having any unsupervised contact with individuals under the age of 18. Furthermore, he is barred from using any electronic devices capable of connecting to the internet, in an effort to prevent further potential offenses.

The Corby Business Academy, where Baker was previously employed, declined to comment on the case. However, the school confirmed that Baker is no longer part of their staff, indicating that the institution is cooperating with authorities and taking steps to address the situation. The case has raised ongoing concerns about safeguarding and the safety of children within the community of Corby.
