CORBY MAN LIAM MCKINNON CHARGED WITH THE REPEATED SEXUAL ABUSE OF TINY CHILDREN

Liam McKinnon, who previously lived in Corby and is currently detained at HMP Peterborough, faces allegations of two counts of encouraging a young girl of primary school age to participate in sexual acts.

Additionally, he is charged with sexually assaulting the girl.

The alleged offenses are said to have occurred nearly ten years ago.

McKinnon, aged 39, appeared at Northampton Crown Court earlier this month to deny the charges.

He then returned to court on Friday, April 24, for an administrative proceeding.

Previously he has been convicted of a number of serious child sexual offences.

A trial is scheduled to take place in September, with proceedings expected to last approximately three days.

He remains in custody on remand until the trial begins.
