MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MAKING OVER 5,000 CHILD PORN IMAGES AND VIDEOS
Steven McLeod, 23, admitted 22 counts of making indecent images and videos of children aged 18 months to 14.He spoke only to plead guilty at Leeds Crown Court to each charge.
The offences took place at an address in Liversedge between December 2008 and November 2009.
The charges included making 5,210 indecent images of children and 3,280 videos of children.
Some images and videos were judged to be level one or level four, showing sexual activity involving children of a serious, explicit nature.
The prosecution asked for pre-sentence reports.
Judge Hickey told McLeod: “You have just pleaded guilty to a number of serious offences.
Make sure you co-operate with the author of the reports.” The court was told at a previous hearing that the offences occurred in Liversedge between December 2008 and November 2009.
He is granted unconditional bail and will return to court on September 19 for sentencing.
